Our Goal is to Produce Long-Term Capital Gains for Investors
At Quad-C, our goal is to produce attractive risk adjusted long-term capital gains for our investors. Our limited partners, many of whom have been investing with us over multiple funds, include pension funds, fund of funds, insurance companies, endowments, high net worth individuals and former portfolio company managers. Importantly, our staff makes significant investments alongside our limited partners in every deal we do.
Quad-C strives to achieve its mission by adhering to the following principles that are ingrained in our culture:
Substantial Equity for Owners and Management
A recapitalization with Quad-C is an attractive solution for a business owner who wants to achieve partial liquidity for his/her ownership stake while retaining a continued investment in their company. For managers who are not existing owners, partnering with Quad-C provides the opportunity to invest in their company and to become an owner while also participating in an attractive stock option program.
Quad-C’s goal is to partner with highly capable management teams and support them as they grow the business. We do not have a stable of operators to bring in to “fix” something that is clearly not broken. As such, your responsibilities and duties following a transaction with Quad-C will be essentially unchanged from your responsibilities prior to the transaction. We focus on adding value by assisting in corporate development and strategy and leave the execution to our management partners.
Quad-C is currently investing its eighth fund and we have been helping middle market companies grow faster than their end markets for 25 years. We have numerous examples of success in our targeted industries, and would be happy to discuss any of these further with you as you look to choose a partner.
We believe integrity is the cornerstone of a strong partnership, and integrity starts with open communication. We pride ourselves on being up front about the terms of the transaction and then sticking to those terms. After closing, management and employees are treated as partners. We believe the fact that so many of our prior managers have decided to invest with us demonstrates the level of integrity with which we operate.
We understand that due diligence, if conducted improperly, can be highly disruptive to a company. After more than two decades of acquiring companies, we’ve developed an efficient process that typically allows us to close a transaction very quickly, while minimizing disruption to day-to-day operations.
